Symphony Splash

by Peter on August 3, 2009

Tonight I had a nice time visiting Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash, a large scale outdoor event featuring the Victoria Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra was situated at a floating stage in Victoria harbor and most of the public was on the lawns of both the Empress Hotel and the Legislative Buildings.

The program was filled with money makers like an Elgar Pomp and Circumstance march, Gershwin’s Raphsody in Blue and Johann Strauss’ Radetzky March. But there was also a movement from The Planets by Host. Excellent choices for such an event. The atmosphere was great and the weather was great too.
